How to make Garlic Potatoes Recipe Quick & Healthy

Hello food lovers today I have for you a beautiful garlic potato dish.

Now if you're a garlic lover you're gonna love this. This is a quick and easy recipe and it tastes amazing. so let's get started.

For this recipe, I'm using 3 medium potatoes. I have cut it into small pieces of roughly the same size.

Now you can use any type of potatoes you want. So let's start with boiling the potatoes. So in a pot, I have added some water just enough to cover the potatoes. I will also add 1/2 a teaspoon of salt.

And cover it and bring this to a boil. Right now I have my stuff on high heat. So the water has come to a boil.

At this point I will reduce the heat to medium to medium-high. Depending on the heat of your stove, and cook until the potatoes are fork-tender but still retains its form.

So let's check it. The potatoes are perfectly boiled it took me a total of ten minutes to boil the potatoes. The amount of time also depends on the type of potatoes you're using I have now drained the potatoes and set it aside.

To a heated pan add two tablespoons of cooking oil. Once the oil is nicely heated add half a teaspoon of mustard seeds. 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds. and stir it.

Please note we are cooking on high to medium-high heat depending on the heat of your staff. Please be very careful it only takes a few seconds for the mustard and the sesame seeds to pop and splatter.

If you think it's splattering too much just cover the lid of your pan. In goes half a teaspoon of chili flakes.

6 cloves of garlic roughly chopped. give it a good mix, fry just until the garlic starts to brown. It will take only a few seconds. Please be careful not to burn the garlic.

Now the garlic has started to brown. Right away add half a cup of tomato puree, and stir it. Now you can use fresh tomatoes instead, just make sure you blend it before adding and also cook it for a bit longe,r add 1 TSP of cumin powder 1 teaspoon of coriander powder and 1 teaspoon of paprika.

Paprika adds a beautiful red color to the dish 1/2 a teaspoon of salt. Now you can add salt to your taste.

Give it all a good mix and cook it for a few seconds, please be careful not to burn the spices, and then in go the potatoes. again mix it well. add 1/4 teaspoon of sugar.

Now this little sugar will do wonders it will balance out the spices and also the tartness of the tomatoes, and we'll give this a beautiful taste so please do not skip it fry it for a few seconds on high heat. And then our two tablespoons of water.

And cover it for just one minute no longer than that on medium heat. Now uncover and give it a mix.

Please note we are cooking on high heat at this point. And there you go, garlic potatoes are done and ready to eat.

This is such a quick dish other than boiling the potatoes it took me only six minutes to finish it to save time you can boil potatoes in advance this makes a great side dish.
